What is the Routine Maintenance Tips for Multi-disk Screw Press

Routine Maintenance:

1. Emptying the Sludge from the Dewatering Body:Before extended periods of inactivity, the dewatering body must be completely emptied. For daily operation, periodic emptying is required (generally once a month). If the sludge tends to solidify or is sticky, emptying should be performed at least once a week.

   
   

2. Emptying Procedure:
• Stop the operation of the screw press, sludge pump, and dosing pump.
• Loosen the fastening bolts on the backpressure plate at the sludge discharge outlet.
• Start the drive motor of the screw press body to discharge accumulated sludge from inside the dewatering body.
• Simultaneously, rinse the outer moving and fixed rings of the dewatering body with water.
• Once no more sludge is discharged from the outlet, stop the drive motor.

• Finally, restore the backpressure plate to its normal operating position and tighten the fastening bolts.

  
  




3. Maintenance of the Screw Press Body Drive Motor and Gearbox:

• Regularly inspect and replace the lubricating oil and grease according to the operation manuals of the motor and gearbox.
